Beverley's Festival of Christmas

The fifteenth Festival of Christmas takes place on
Sunday 12th December 2010 between 10am and 4pm
.

Once again we are looking forward to an entertaining and enjoyable day. Let us hope that we are blessed with good weather! In terms of street entertainments we include this year the following; The Alley Cats, Bo the Clown, Beverley and District Pipe Band (who will be marching through the town) Beverley Brass Band, 150th (Yorkshire) Regiment  Transport Band, Beverley Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade Band, Beverley Community Choir, Beverley Garland Dancers, The Green Ginger Garland Dancers and Soprano Rachel Newman.
As usual, one of the popular features is the Christmas Craft and Gift Market featuring over eighty quality stalls, many of them local, some small manufacturers and some raising money for their charity. Amongst the big attractions we will have, are a Victorian Fairground, a rally by the Classic Car Club, a display by the Burnese Mountain Dogs and the Sealed Knot Society will stage a re-enactment of a street battle at the North Bar.
In addition we must not forget the star of the show Father Christmas who will once again be on his sleigh drawn by everyone’s favourite, the Reindeer.  As you can see there really is something for everyone: music, dancing, all the fun of the fair, a free park and ride.  So come along and enjoy the day
