
Free Tree for Beverley Residents
Tree planting season 2021-2022 has started!
Beverley Civic Society is working alongside Beverley Town Council to plant 1300 trees in town, to commemorate the foundation of Beverley in 721 by St John of Beverley.
The first tree was dedicated in the Minster on 24th October 2021 during the Beverley 1300 Festival, and the Society has now planted more trees to contribute to the 1300. Both the Town Council and Civic Society want the wider community to get involved with this scheme with a FREE TREE OFFER!
Any Beverley resident with room in their garden to plant a fruit tree cane apply for an apple, pear, cherry or plum to be delivered early in the New Year. The deadline to order a tree is 31st December 2021. You can apply by visiting the Beverley Civic Society’s contact page on their website – scroll down to the boxes asking for your name etc., In the box labeled “What do you want to contact us about”, type in the sort of tree you would like.
