Notice of Public Rights to Inspect Accounts 2020-21
Each year, smaller authorities like Beverley Town Council have to produce an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR). This is reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd – Beverley’s external auditor is PKF Littlejohns.
The unaudited AGAR has been published on our website. As it has yet to be reviewed by PKF Littlejohns, it is subject to change as a result of that review.
Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested.
The period in which the public can inspect the accounts is:
- From Monday 14 June 2021
- To Friday 23 July 2021
- The official date of this announcement was Thursday 10th June 2021.
For the year ending 31 March 2021, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to Matthew Snowden the Acting Town Clerk. The primary way to arrange a time to inspect these documents is via emailing clerk@beverley.gov.uk. You can also call the Town Council on 01482 674096 (we endeavour to answer called between 10am and 1pm, Tuesday to Thursday).
The period in which the public has the right to inspect the accounts is from Monday 14 June 2021 to Friday 23 July 2021. The official date of this announcement was Thursday 10th June 2021.
